In a July 18 press statement, the police in Caraga explained that the names “will not be divulged since the investigation is ongoing.”

Chief Supt. Rolando Felix said the Discipline, Law and Order Section of the Regional Personnel Human Resource and Doctrine Development Division of the Caraga police has the list of police personnel who were linked to illegal drug activities.

The 10 officers tested positive for drug use during examinations conducted since January. The suspects hold the ranks police officer 1, senior police officer 1, and inspector.

Felix has issued a warning, saying he would not tolerate “crooked” officers, and that surprise mandatory drug tests would continue. (ben serrano)
