ILIGAN City — Twelve public schools in Marawi City have started holding classes, a high official of the Department of Education, Marawi City Division of City Schools said.

Guesting in the program Paghiusa sa Lanao of Sarimanok Press Club at Prime News, 88.1, FM, Radio Iligan last Saturday, Marawi Assistant Division Superintendent of Schools Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto disclosed that the schools are situated in areas already cleared by the military.

Unte-Alonto added that she also personally inspected the schools and saw that these were not affected by the fighting in the city.

The public schools are: Sultan Conding Elementary School, Sikap Elementary School, Camp Bagong Amaipakpak Elementary School, Abdulazis Elementary School, Bito Elementary School, Rorogagus Elementary School, Mipaga Elementary School, Pendolonan Elementary School, Cabingan Primary School, Banga Primary School, Datu Tambak Etado Primary School, and Sugod Central Elementary School.
