On Saturday, 1,368 of the over 3,000 SK officials in Misamis Oriental were sworn in at the capitol. The province has over 420 barangays, each with a set of SK officials.

Former governor and mayor Vicente Emano, meanwhile, urged the youth officials to take their positions seriously even as he called on them to start working on clear programs for their respective barangays.

“Kinahanglan seryoso lamo sa inyong panungkulan isip mga lideres sa kabatan-onan kay dili kini binuang ang inyong gisudlan,” said Emano even as he thanked them for choosing to be sworn in before Padayon Pilipino officials.

On Saturday, Emano’s son Yevgeny Vincente urged the young officials to strive in making  a big difference in their barangays and to help in transforming the province.

Gov. Emano said the SK officials should serve as models to other young people in their respective villages.
