The 52nd Engineer Brigade commemorates the Col. Natividad Day recently. Various activities such as the mini-Olympics, bloodletting activities, tree-planting activities were participated by the men and women of the Brigade. The mini-Olympics not only foster camaraderie but keep the Army engineers in good shape. As a way to give back to the environment, a tree-planting activity was conducted inside the premises of the camp and a total of 150 Narra trees were planted. Another successful activity which was aimed at helping indigent patients was the bloodletting activity in partnership with the doctors and health workers from Northern Mindanao Medical Center and Municipal Health Office. A total of 55 donors participated in this endeavor.

The highlight of this year’s Col. Natividad Day is the blessing of the newly-acquired Mission Essential Engineer Equipment. Six dump trucks, Two KM-250, and One mini-transit mixer issued to 52nd Engineer ‘Kaayadan’ Brigade from Headquarters Philippine Army under the command of Lt. Gen. Rolando Joselito D. Bautista, AFP. This new set of equipment will aid to accelerate infrastructure projects in Eastern Mindanao in support to the Commander-In-Chief’s “Build, Build, Build” Program.

This annual celebration is also a time to rekindle those excellent traits that Col. Natividad and the Armed Forces of the Philippines had inculcate in every Army Engineer namely; Military Professionalism, Military Leadership, Spiritual and Moral Leadership and a Responsible Family Man. The Brigade recognized the deserving Officers and Enlisted Personnel for their various accomplishment and for exemplary performance consistent with the traits Col Natividad is known for. (pr)
