Olaguera said this was the result of random drug tests conducted in the city’s 10 police stations.

Olaguera declined to identify the police officers, but added that they were facing summary dismissal proceedings at Camp Alagar.

He said the drug suspects have been relieved, and ordered to report to Camp Alagar where they would be subjected to summary dismissal proceedings.

Supt. Danildo Tumanda, deputy director for administration of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo), also withheld the suspects’ names but revealed they carry the ranks police officer 1, police officer 2, and senior police officer 1.

Tumanda said the Cocpo was not rulling out the possibility that the six police officers were also involved in the local drug trade.

Tumanda said two of the suspects were members of the City Public Safety Company while the others were from the Puerto, Macabalan, Agora and Cogon police stations.

He said results of the random drug tests conducted at the Carmen and Bulua police stations have yet to be released.

Meanwhile, police arrested a fish dealer from Agusan del Sur for possession of two kilos of marijuana at Kulambong, Lapasan on Wednesday night.

Insp. Leo Huraño, deputy chief of the Agora police, identified the suspect as Romy Dae Camporedondo, 35, of Bayugan 1, Agusan del Sur.

Huraño said Camporedondo was caught with three bundles of marijuana during an entrapment.

Camporedondo maintained his innocence, saying he was unaware there were bundles marijuana in a compartment of his motorcycle.

The suspect said he came from Maramag, Bukidnon, with his girlfriend whom he identified only as Inday.

Camporedondo said he and his girlfriend were looking for a boarding house in Kulambog, Lapasan, when he was arrested by the police.

Huraño however said Camporedondo received from an agent and subsequently yielded marked money.
