THE recent Trump-Kim Jong-un summit has put the entire world on notice that there is nothing that is not possible in this world.  Who would ever expect that such kind of meeting would ever take place knowing fully well that the North Korean dictator loves to threaten the strongest nation of the world with nuclear attack with flourish and who loves to display ballistic missiles as if he were just displaying an ordinary firecracker?

But the impossible happened and there, the North Korean dictator appeared in Singapore with Donald Trump and the very charming American president praised him to the high heavens and he smiled in response like a cute chubby little child.  His face was round, very smooth,  like the usual Korean star and his two chinky eyes hid behind his thick eyeglasses as if cancelling a joy like a child who just received his first balloon.

While my eyes was concentrated at the TV screen, I could never fail to express my sincere happiness at the unfolding event that the entire world waited to happen. Why? It is because the threat of the North Korean dictator was very real and the unfolding Armageddon of nuclear war stoked the fears of peace-loving people on earth.

We at our prayer meetings always mentioned his name to God to please imbue him with the spirit of peace so that our fears will not come into reality.  Indeed, God heared our prayers and the miracle of all miracles happened.

There he was on TV, very cute, offering his hand to the president of the most powerful nation on earth, their faces full of surprises and joy that they had at least meet for the first time after lambasting each other, Kim Jong-un on North Korean TV and Trump on his Twitter calling him an ugly dictator.  The people felt no hidden fears and they believed Kim Jong-un was sincere in his efforts to denuclearize North Korea.

I remember that part of history wherein Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain raised the Non-aggression Pact he signed with Germ Dictator Adolf Hitler. When he got down from the plane from Germany after the signing of the pact and shouted “Peace is at Hand,” the whole world shivered in fear and distrust because they know that Adolf Hitler cannot be trusted after he just annexed Austria and dismembered Czechoslovakia. In fact, then ordinary parliamentary member Winston Churchill spit disgust over the Peace Pact calling it offering Chamberlain’s hand to the alligator without knowing that it will soon bite his entire body. True to Churchill’s disgust, rockets soon rained on London years later in preparation for Oplan Barbarrosa, Germany’s plan to invade England.  Having failed to invade England because of the success of the Royal Air Force whom Churchill labeled, “never in the history of human conflict has been owed by so many to so few,” Adolf Hitler instead invaded Russia where he was defeated and started his enemies’ march towards Berlin, the German capital  resulting in his total defeat of the  war he started and resulted in World War II and ended in his suicide at his bunker.

But in this North Korean gesture, I feel in my entire spirit that the guy is sincere probably because he had no record of invading nations either in Asia or any part of the world and the scenarios of the pre-World War II are not there.  My instinct is dictating me that God has reigned on the mind of the dictator so that the world will have its much-needed quest for peace.

After Alden Richards, my new lodi is now Kim Jong-un.

Ang cute niya talaga!
