Pigcawayan, Cotabato — An active member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and several others have been arrested in a drug buy-bust operation carried out by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and Cotabato City police in Barangay Kalanganan, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
Among those arrested were Pablito Magalasin, 36, Abdulnasser Angkan, 49, Jorhanie Magalasin, and Saidina Kamid Lapajing, 33, an active MILF member. The suspects have been monitored supplying drugs in the areas of Cotabato and Maguindanao.
Confiscated in their possession were two packs of suspected shabu, weighing 25 grams with estimated worth of P62,500, marked money, one caliber .45 pistol, bullets, various identification cards, passports, blank checks, bank books, and three cellular phones.
The suspects are now in the custody of PDEA-ARMM while preparing the charges in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
