Another brgy chairman in Misor falls in drug bust

ANOTHER village chief in Misamis Oriental was arrested by authorities for alleged illegal possession of drugs and a gun in Lagonglong on Friday.

Senior Supt. Rolando Destura, police provincial director, identified the suspect as barangay chairman Alben Bagongon.

Bagongon, barangay chairman of Tabok, Lagonglong town, yielded nine sachets of suspected shabu, a caliber .38 revolver, and P200 in cash, according to Destura.

Destura said drug paraphernalia were also found from the suspect’s possession.

Police said Bagongon, a “Tokhang surrenderer,” is seeking reelection in today’s barangay elections. (joey nacalaban)
