Bussairy said he was appointed to his post on March 2015 and one of his goals is to visit all the Muslim areas in the country. Lanao del Sur was the first Muslim-dominated province he went to.

“I am so happy to see the place now as I have only heard of it,” he said.

Raki-in, who was formerly an Assistant Secretary in the Department of Public Works and Highways, was excited to note that Bussairy promised to fully assist in the electricity problems of the province where power interruptions happen almost every day. He then presented the KSA envoy with tokens given by Gov. Adiong.

The ambassador then toured the Capitol Grounds and inspected the Provincial Mosque just before he proceeded to the city hall of Marawi. His itinerary for the day included meeting ministry missionaries and visiting educational institutions. He shall visit Cotabato City the following day.

Governor Adiong, who was on official travel to Davao City during the visit, met the Ambassador on September 7 in Iligan City. pr
