Hedcor, the Philippines’ largest developer of run-ofiver hydropower systems, was hailed by Asian Power Magazine with four major awards—Hydropower Project of the Year (Gold Award) for Hedcor’s Sabangan Hydropower Project, Innovative Power Technology of the Year (Silver Award) and Smart Grid Power Project of the Year (Gold Award) for Hedcor’s Talomo Hydro Plants’ automation project, and Power Utility of the Year (Philippines) for Hedcor, Inc.

Hedcor President and COO, Rene Ronquillo led the acceptance of the awards on behalf of the Hedcor team. “These awards were made possible by every team member’s commitment to continuous improvement,” he said.

The 11th Asian Power Awards was held on the night of September 2 at Conrad Bangkok in Thailand. It is one of Asia’s most prestigious awards for the power industry which aims to recognize ground-breaking projects and trailblazing initiatives. Over a hundred executives and key players gathered together at the acclaimed ‘Oscars’ of the power industry in Asia.

“We have continuously worked to be more efficient through our quality improvement projects while adhering to our corporate values,” stressed Ronquillo. “These awards affirm and validate our passion for better ways,” he added. (PR)
