CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao — Combined troops of 37th Infantry Battalion, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CIDG-Armm) and Regional Mobile Force Company of Philippine National Police apprehended a suspected drug personality during the conduct of law enforcement support operation at Sto. Basurahan, Barangay GT Biruar, Parang, Maguindanao earlier this week.
The operation was launched after concerned residents reported the presence of certain Udtog K. Esmail, a drug personality that resulted to his arrest.
Also recovered in his position were one caliber 30, one M16 rifle, one rifle grenade, one hand cuff, and one Motorola radio.
The suspect and the confiscated firearms were brought at CIDG-Armm headquarters for proper custody and disposition.
“The recent gains achieved by the AFP and other law enforcement authorities are attributed to the support and cooperation of all stakeholders,” 6th Infantry Division Commander, Brigadier General Cirilito Sobejana said.
“We are very grateful for the trust and confidence of the people of Central Mindanao on our sincerity of curtailing the menace of drugs in this region and putting an end to all forms of lawlessness and criminalities,” he added. (with reports from 6id)
