AT LEAST 15 self-confessed drug users and pushers from Bukidnon province turned themselves in to Gov. Jose Maria Zubiri, who in turn surrendered them to the National Bureau of Investigation here.
The 15 drug personalities composed of 11 males and four females.
Zubiri formally turned over the drug personalities to NBI 10 Regional Director Angelito Magno at 1 pm, Tuesday.
Magno said the voluntary “surrender” of the drug suspects could not be attributed to the National Police’s Oplan Tokhang.
He said their office have not conducted Oplan Tokhang because they lack the manpower.
Magno added they operate against illegal drugs only through proper implementation of the law with the cooperation of local officials.
Magno said the 15 drug suspects in the 23rd turn over from Bukidnon since President Rodrigo Duterte declared war against drugs.
