“We are happy that finally BCPO will have a new building,” said Senior Supt. Albert Magno, city police director of BCPO.

The new building location is significant as it is situated near seat of governance of the city, the Butuan City Hall. It has a total land area of 2,000 square meters.

The budget of the new police building is more than P14 million but due to the factors of inflation the over-all budget ballooned to more than P16 million. The structure looks like a two-storey building but because of the roof deck it is a three-storey building. The local government unit of Butuan has allocated P2 million for the additional roofing on the roof deck area.

For his part, Director Jose Ma Victor F. Ramos, Directorate for Logistics from national headquarters in Camp Crame stated that three more buildings will soon be turned over to Butuan City’s police.
