Camp Alagar revives its drive vs drugs

THE police in northern Mindanao revived its anti-illegal drug campaign on Friday.

Camp Alagar spokesman Supt. Lemuel Gonda said this was ordered by police regional director Chief Supt. Timoteo Pacleb after he received a memorandum from Camp Crame.

The memorandum came, specifically, from the chief of the directorate for operations of Camp Crame.

The memo officially announces that the National Police would be in the frontline again of the government’s so-called “war of drugs.”

Gonda said the police would resume its anti-illegal drugs campaign in partnership with the community stakeholders and in coordination with other law enforcement groups like the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Pacleb ordered city and provincial police directors in the region to choose trusted police personnel to work in the anti-drug enforcement units.
