GINGOOG City Vice Mayor Erick G. Cañosa expressed his gratitude to parents and teachers who joined the call for Brigada Eskwela last May 18 to prepare government schools for the opening of classes on June 1.

The vice mayor said he was very happy for the response of parents who shared their time and for bringing some cleaning materials  and even for indulging into some school repairs to make each classrooms ready for holding classes comes start of classes this June.

He claimed parents’ participation and cooperation is always needed in schools that is why Brigada Eskwela was conceived.

DepEd spokesman Mario Endrina said an estimated twenty-four thousand public school students will flock to school comes school opening in the city.

Earlier, the provincial government thru Governor Yevgeny Vincente B. Emano has donated amounting to P2 million pesos in support  for this year’s Brigada Eskwela program, said Endrina.

The amount was intended for the repainting of some school buildings and classrooms in all public schools of this city and the repair of  damaged classrooms and and for other purposes.

Cañosa  said there were  90 school buildings including 74 elementary and 16  high school  buildings which were given due attention of the parents and teachers during the conduct of ‘Brigada Eskwela’ here in the city.
