Capitol goes on ‘blue alert’ a day ahead of Misa de Gallo

THE capitol would shift to blue alert move today ahead of the annual Misa de Gallo on orders from Misamis Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano.

Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office head Fernando Dy Jr. said the provincial rescue team has prepared for the expected influx of churchgoers tomorrow in time for the start of the celebration of the Christmas season.

“Ipasaka na nato ang blue alert status sa atong security level and preparation to effectively respond to emergencies and assist churchgoers attending the Misa de Gallo,” said Dy.

Dy said there would be be no Christmas vacation for the PDRRMO staff members because they have been tasked to ensure that security measures are implemented well in cooperation with the provincial police office headed by Senior Supt. Rolando Destura.

Emano called for public cooperation, and asked citizens to be observant and vigilant so as to help authorities maintain peace and order here. (misor-pio)
