TUBOD, Lanao del Norte ― Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte has designated a room as part of its response to the coronavirus disease pandemic.

Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo identified and designated a room at the old capitol building where online video conferencing will be held without defeating the purpose to participate in the discussions.

The room is also used for virtual court hearings of inmates detained at the Provincial Jail instead of going to the Regional Trial Court in Iligan City or to any other judicial courts, outside the provincial capitol grounds.

On July 15, two virtual court hearings took place in the room, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

A jail officer and custodian of an inmate attending the hearing expressed his approval and satisfaction to the initiative of the provincial government in designating a room saying it is advantageous on their part and safer than going out from the vicinity of the provincial capitol. (PIO-LDN)
