THE Septic Tank Project at City Central School will soon be implemented after its approval by the Local School Board.

Upon receiving the good news, the Grade-3 Federation Officers, parents and pupils of City Central School expressed their gratitude and thanks to Councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba, chair of the committee on education, for helping them give a solution to their problem in school regarding the backflow of septic tank and its bad odor which affects the comfort and health of teachers and students.

It can be recalled that the Federation Officers wrote a letter to the committee on education and requested for assistance to solve the problem. Because of the need to immediately act on the matter, Daba there and then requested the City Engineering Office to do an inspection and submit their report on a set deadline, and also referred the matter to the City Mayor’s Office to which the request was recently approved during the Local School Board meeting.

The parents happily received the good news and commented that it wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the help of the fast-acting Councilor.

Daba, for her part, expressed how grateful she is that action has been taken and that their request was approved without delay because she said that finally the children and teachers can go to their classes and learn without disturbance, discomfort and health dangers. (sp)
