In commemoration of the 2017 National Women’s Month “We make Change, Work for Women,” the Commission on Elections (Comelec) of this city will conduct satellite registrations prioritizing women.

The City Comelec will give two days, 8am to 5pm, today at the 4th Floor of J. R. Borja General Hospital and on March 8 at Barangay  Macabalan’s barangay hall of this city.

During the satellite registration, the city Comelec will assign a special lane for women in order to immediately process their application, especially for those who are already confined in the hospital’s maternity ward.

The City Comelec is doing this to empower women by encouraging them to be involve in nation-building and equipping them through their participation on this coming Oct. 23 Katipunan ng Kabataan and Barangay Elections.

Just like how the satellite registrations in the barangays, the office will receive application for registration, transfer, reactivation, correction of entries, and change of status.

The requirements are:

For the new Registrants and Transfer of their Voter’s Registration Record, bring any Valid ID with current residence address.

For 15 to 19 years old, bring their school ID and three copies of the registrant’s Birth Certificate.

For Correction of any entries, bring three copies of the registrant’s Birth Certificate. For Change of status, bring three copies of your Marriage Contract.

The System of Continuing Registration in preparation for the 2017 Katipunan ng Kabataan and Barangay Elections will end on April 29. (city comelec)
