Clearly overpriced

FINALLY, I saw one, a Mahindra Enforcer police car. I hope this is not what fomer Interior Secretary Mar Roxas boasted about as the new police car, each costing P1.9 million. If so, wow, ang laki nang kita.

I was at the display center of KIA to see for myself what a Mahindra Enforcer looks like. A basic Mahindra cost around P600 thousand while the 4×4 about P700 thousand, if I am not mistaken.

So, how much did the body and police gears cost? Police trimmings and gears should not cost beyond P200 thousand. Do your arithmetic. How much was the OP?

I am not accusing Roxas of overpricing. He just announced it. But he should know the truth. And the truth can be very damning to his candidacy. But that is just one among a few that can be raised against Mar.

Sometimes, one has to lie. But when one does, one should see to it that he would not look ridiculous.

I thought this guy is principled. Despite the fact that his wife is working for the mayor, he still maintains his dislike of the latter based on his experience. He told us so.

Lately, well, family comes first! He’s been silent and may have had a change of heart. I guess, when city hall is inhabited by one big family, everyone has just to toe the line.

When there’s smoke, there’s fire. But city hall is not on fire. No, not yet. But I can smell smoke. Soon, it would be a conflagration. Sa karaan, ingon nila nga “walay aso nga makumkum.” How true!

During a flag ceremony and in his TV program, Mayor Oscar Moreno had nothing else to say than attack his political adversary. Let me dwell on his accusation that Rep. Rufus Rodriguez is a “traydor.” Rufus is a traydor (kuno) because he promised not to leave Moreno.

If this logic is acceptable, then a lot of us are traydor. Many of those who supported Moreno are now traydor. But at least, they are not traitors to the people of Cagayan de Oro City.

One who betrays the people is the greatest “traydor” because he did it to his friends, family, husbands, summer job program beneficiaries, and even God by lying to a priest–and girlfriends, too.

I have plenty of friends who are for him. Well and good. It’s their right and probably because some really don’t know the mayor well. But those who pretend not to know would become silent accomplices to Moreno’s wrongdoings.

Come on, guys, you don’t know? Or is it because somehow you benefitted from him or being with him for the wrong reason.

Moreno can hire hundreds of trolls for black propaganda, and use government funds or funds coming from donations. But there will always be a time for accounting.

If the Yolanda fund has been reported as missing, it could be the same in the city.
