Iligan City — A girl nearly lost her life due to a bite from a cobra.

Victim was identified as Rita Brillo, 11, of Tag-ibo, Dalipuga, here.

Nessy Brillo, mother of the victim said she sent her daughter to get some kindling from a grassy spot near their home to be used to cook their meal, noon of Sunday. Rita did so and while there, she let out a scream after being bitten by the cobra, which, the mother said was about three to four feet long.

Nessy said her child looked very pale and continuously twisted in pain due to the bite in the lower portion of her right limb and shaking tremendously.

The mother rushed Rita to the Don Gregorio Lluch Memorial Hospital and luckily, there were stocks of anti-venom vaccines.
