A CONSTRUCTION company, UKC Builders, has announced that it is amenable to a deal that its property in Barangay Camaman-an to be expropriated by City Hall.

The expropriation will give residents in the area an ingress and egress road from a community located behind UKC Builders’ lot.

Committee chair Zaldy Ocon thanked UKC for its decision and looks forward to a successful negotiations for the expropriation of the property.

An ocular inspection will be conducted by the City Council committee on public works headed by Councilor Zaldy Ocon, on Sept. 26 at 10:00 am in  Barangay Camamam-an, this city.

City councilor Leon Gan, who is also the lawyer of UKC Builders, announced during a meeting of the committee of public works that his client is ready of negotiations for the purchase of its lot.

Gan, added, that his client also said the residents can already use the lot as an access road even if formal negotiations have not started yet.

This, after the United Neighborhood Association members who are living at Macajalar near the Bachelor Transport Terminal requested the city mayor and the Sangguniang Panlungsod to expropriate a lot owned by UKC Builders.

Barangay Chairman Pedro Arda said the area, which measures 613 square meters is occupied by 100 households.

Invited to participate in the inspection are Councilor Leon Gan, Barangay Chair Pedro Arda,  the city engineer, representatives of UKC, Montecarlo Development Corporation, Secured Savings, and the owner of the furniture shop that is obstructing the road. (clo)
