SCG, one of Southeast Asia’s biggest industrial conglomerate and Mariwasa, its subsidiary and the country’s leading tile maker have recently teamed up to build SCG Training Center, the first training facility of SCG outside its headquarters in Thailand.

Being constructed in the premises of Mariwasa factory in Batangas, the training center aims to develop skills related to construction such as installation of building products such as tiles, roofing, bathroom, wall and ceiling as well as to enhance service skills of SCG and Mariwasa frontilners or sales personnel in dealership. The short training course is Tesda-accredited and will be offered to select contractors, construction workers, specifiers, SCG employees and SCG frontliners. Upon completion of the course, a trainee can increase his chances into landing a more rewarding job and enhance the quality of his life and his family’s. SCG Training Center is scheduled to open in August 2015 and expected to impart skills to over 100 trainees before the year ends.
