THE city council has asked the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) about the status of some P355 million worth of infrastructure projects in the city.

The city’s legislature passed Resolution 2018-226, to officially request the regional office of the DPWH to update local officials about the implementation of the projects, noting that these have been awarded to contractors already.

The projects include the New Eastern Diversion Road, Kauswagan-Bonbon Section (P132 million), New Western Diversion Road, Canitoan Coastal Section (P104 million), Drainage Line, Serina-Villarin-Cagayan River, Carmen (P43 million), Opol Diversion Road, Opol-Canitoan, 83.15 (P41 million) and Balulang-Macasandig Bridge and Access Road (P44 million).

Councilor Zaldy Ocon, chairman of the council’s public works committee, authored the resolution. (SP)
