BUTUAN CITY — An employee of Regional Trial Court Branch 6 of Prospeidad, Agusan del Sur and six other individuals were arrested Sunday afternoon by joint operatives of the Municipal Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (MAIDSOTG) of the Prosperidad Municipal Police Station, Agusan del Sur Provincial Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group and the 13th RPSB or Regional Peace Safety Battalion.

RTC Judge Quimal Salacop of RTC Branch 6 told reporters, here, that he has been advising the court employee to stop his alleged vices but did not heed his advise.

Police said the seven suspects were arrested in a raid, armed by search Warrant at Purok 9, Baran-gay Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur Municipal Police Office identified the arrested suspects as Ronnie Sumam-pong, employee of RTC Branch 6 Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur under Sala of RTC Judge Quimal Salacop, John Love Galdiano and his wife Jacquelyn Galdiano; Jenny Galdiano; Jinggoy Capa, Wendy Yarte; and Segun-dino Galdiano. Arresting officers claimed they recovered from the possession of the suspects were four pieces of plastic sachets with an estimated weight of 8.5 grams. The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) esti-mated the value at P100,300.00.

The arrested persons and confiscated items are now under the custody of Prosperidad Police while violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.

Police said John Love Galdiano has a standing warrant of arrest dated on July 3, 2015 for Violation of Section 68, PD 705 otherwise known as Forestry Reform Code as amended by Executive Order Number 8507 with recommended bail of Forty Thousand pesos (Php40,000.00).
