Applying and renewal of business permits in Cagayan de Oro can now be availed online this time.

City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) chief Dr. Glenn Bañez said they are now offering computerized and online system to all small, medium and large-scale businessmen and company in applying new and renewal of all

their business permits.

Mao kini ang bag-o nato karon. Just go to www.cagayandeoro.gov.ph and click City Treasurer’s Office. Makita nimo ang tax due online on business permits and real property taxes,” he said.

He said with this, anybody who had pending payment and obligation can check their own status like tax due on business application, renewal of business application, business permits quarterly and real property tax.

“Due to system generated makita na dayun nimo pila ang imong bayronon on business permits and other taxes. Easy lang ang pagsulod,” he added.

He said online and computerized services is their new way of giving back to the people with fast and reliable services.

Kung nag-bayad sila sa ilang taxes then hatagan usab nato sila sa maayo nga serbisyo. Pwede ra kamo diha sa inyung opisina og dili na kamo mogasto sa mga bookkeeper. Makasabot sab ka kung pila na gyud imong bayaran whole year or quarterly,” he pointed out.

Banez business applicants can also pay their payments to banking institutions that also served as banking units of Cagayan de Oro anywhere in the city.

He said this is in compliance of the call of President Rodrigo Duterte in easy and manageable way of applying for business permits.

“Cagayan de Oro is the first of all LGU in Mindanao that used this kind of system. All inspection activities will follow after the application and renewal of all business permits,” he added.

Earlier, the Department of Interior and Local Government Region 10 has chosen Cagayan de Oro City’s ‘Taxpayer-Friendly Kiosk and Automated Business Permit and Licensing System’ as ‘model on good practice’

among local government units in the region.

The selection came during the agency’s recent ‘Training on Documenting LGUs Good Practices’ which was participated in by 11 cities and municipalities in Region 10 and aimed at drafting a ‘reference document’ of its ‘model projects’ or ‘good practices’ that can be replicated among interested LGUs.

Unlike before, clients now are experiencing hassle-free, convenient transactions at City Hall, especially at the City Treasurer’s Office, due to the establishment of a touch screen, self-service, multifunctional kiosk machine.

The ‘first-of-its-kind’, in-house kiosk machine, which was developed and designed by the City Treasurer’s Office, can issue statements/receipts of bill on business tax, real property tax, professional tax, community tax (‘cedula’) and queuing or priority number when paying at the counter.
