THE local government of Manolo Fortich town in Bukidnon has imposed a 10 pm to 4 am curfew in the municipality.

In a four-page executive order signed this June 14, Manolo Fortich Mayor Clive Quiño said the curfew had to be imposed in response to terrorist activities in neighboring provinces, cities and municipalities, and because of reports about fleeing members or sympathizers of the Maute Group.

Quiño said his executive order was also based  on a June 9, 2017 Municipal Peace and Order Council resolution.

He however said people whose work  require them to be out at night are exempted from the curfew provided that they could show authorities their IDs, and explain why they are out during the curfew hours.

Violators would be be subjected to “safe keeping” by the police authorities based on the rules on detention. (lito rulona)
