THE Department of Agriculture (DA) through the Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center conducted the Dairy Herb Management Training to the lumads in the city of Cagayan de Oro.
A good number of indigenous people were taught on how to take care of cows where they can get some livelihood and source of income.
With this, City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) officer Teddy Sabuga-a assured the support from the current administration to develop and uplift the lives of the lumads who are living in the mountainous areas of the city.
The training aims to teach the participants on becoming dairy farmers. It also highlighted breeding, health, nutrition, forage and pasture development, calfearing, milk handling and quality control, milking operation, and farm record keeping.pia
