THE 18th City Council has enacted separate ordinances accepting the offer of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro, Inc. (RCAC) and the Asuncion Hojas Escaño Estate for the donation of a parcel of land to the city government located at Sitio Upper Palalan in Barangay Lumbia.
The RCAC donated a portion of the lot covering 10,000 square meters, more or less, while the Escaño Estate donated 4,733 square meters that will be used as an expansion site of the House of Hope Foundation in Lumbia.
For this purpose, legislators likewise authorized City Mayor Oscar Moreno to sign the Deed of Donation and Acceptance executed by the donors in favor of the city government.
Members of the 18th City Council and Vice Mayor Uy adopted resolutions expressing city’s thanks and gratitude to Roman Catholic Church and the Hojas family for magnanimity and liberality in donating the land to the city. (sp)
