THE completion of the City Health Office and the construction of two health centers will soon be implemented.

The 18th City Council during its regular session this week, authorized City Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Health (DOH-10).

This covers the implementation of the infrastructure projects through the Health Facility Enhancement Program 2018 (HFEP 2018) intended for the completion of the City Health Office and construction of new health centers at the Balubal and Indahag Resettlement Sites.

DOH -10 has allocated P7 million intended for the construction and rehabilitation of the City Health Office while P1.5 million each is allotted for the two health centers.

It may be recalled that the DOH also offered financial support and implement infrastructure projects to the city government amounting to P198 million for the completion of the J.R. Borja General Hospital level 1, which includes the construction of additional service wards.

The HFEP 2018 is in line with the Universal Health Care for all Filipinos program to ensure the achievement of the health system goals. (sp)
