COUNCILOR Edna Dahino, chair of City Council committee on women and family relations, encouraged women to always have a positive outlook in life.

This after the councilor met with the focused group of women fromresettlement areas and women in especially difficult circumstances during aconsultative meeting held recently.

Dahino likewise emphasized the importance of acknowledging self-worth as a tool to be of service to others and to be open-minded amid trials and hardships. She also pointed out that poverty can be overcome through hardwork and strong belief in the Almighty’s guidance and provision.

The councilor also advised them to stand up and move on with every life’s painful experiences as this will develop in them a strong and resilient character.

Although women’s rights are intensively protected by the government, they should not neglect spiritual upliftment knowing that without God, people can do nothing, Dahino said. (sp)
