Salay, Misamis Oriental — At last, the damaged road in the rebel-affected hinterland barangay of this town is now passable as the Armed Forces of the Philippines announced during its turn over ceremony last Wednesday morning in Barangay Alipuaton here.

Col. Edcardo De Leon, Commander 403rd Brigade, said the opening of the road in the mountainous area of this town is also called the symbol of a shortcut for peace and development in the area.

The road, which connects Barangay of Alipuaton to its Sitio Salahon, is now open to all types of vehicle as “farm to market road,” said town Mayor Angelo Capistrano, Jr.

Napulo ka tuig ang pag antus sa mga residente ning maong barangay sa kaguba sa dalan maong dako akong pagpasalamat sa mga sundalo,” Capistrano said.
