DAR in its aim to develop the skills and capacitate its Arbo beneficiaries through sound economic decision-making, currently conducts a three-day live in training on Financial Policies System and Procedure (FPSP) vis-a-vis Basic Accounting for Non Accountants (BANA) for treasurers, bookkeepers and either managers or chairpersons of the ARBOs on September 16, 17 and 18, 2015 at ASSAMCO Training Center in Brgy.5, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

Mr. Gil Pol Tan, a CPA public practitioner provides comprehensive cooperative based information on Basic Accounting while Ms Lucille L. Fernandez, an experienced general manager of a progressive cooperative now an account officer of Land Bank of The Philippines (LBP) imparts her expertise on FPSP.

The farmers said the training will help them innovate standard programs and format on financial documents related to operations for easy access and monitoring purposes. “This hands-on training is indeed awakening and enlightening. This will surely help upgrade the cooperatives,” a cooperative officer smilingly shared. APCP team proposed to conduct follow up trainings on FPSP and BANA. (ADVT)
