The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Agusan del Sur has distributed 113 titles or Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to 113 Agrarian reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) last May 28-29, 2015.

The land distributed to farmers beneficiaries covers 189.9258 hectares in different barangays of Loreto, Agusan del Sur.

The CLOA distribution was done on the occasion of apeace caravan led by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process (OPAPP) under its PAMANA (Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan) program, a national government’s program and framework for peace and development.

The said activity was assisted by the municipal local government of Loreto and provincial government of Agusan del Sur.

DAR Caraga Regional Director Julita A. Ragandang, Assistant Regional Director Daylinda P. Narisma, PARPO Paysal B. Tumog and other DAR officials personally handed the titles to the smiling agrarian reform beneficiaries. RD Ragandang reminded the ARBs to cultivate and take care of their lands as not everybody has the opportunity to become landowners.

“Pasalamat gayud ko ug daku sa DAR kay dugay na panahon na gayud namo gihandum nga matagaan ug yuta og makadawat sa titulo,” Mrs. Anselma M. Bulibuli ,an agrarian reform beneficiary sincerely stated.

Smiles of contentment can be seen in the faces of the ARBs as they went home hopeful after the ceremony. (cyrene florb.tajonera)
