Davao City, the host of the 2018 Davao Regional Athletic Association (Davraa) event, has allotted P12 million for the week-long sports activity, a councilor said.
Councilor Pilar Braga said the fund is part of this year’s P136.4-million supplemental budget number 3.
Braga explained that the funding will cover all necessary services for athletes and visitors during the week-long Davraa event beginning Feb. 18 next year.
“The city mayor would like to see to it that Davao City as the host city for this event won’t lose face, and that we can really welcome all our guests and athletes from all over the region,” Braga said.
Since the city’s sports complex is yet to be completed, Braga said various events will be conducted in different areas of the city. (davaotoday.com)
