DIGOS CITY — Incumbent Davao del Sur Governor Claude Bautista is true to his public announcement he will no longer seek reelection in the province after he filed his certificate of candidacy (CoC) for governor of Davao Occidental on Thursday morning.
House Representative for District 2 of Davao del Sur Franklin Bautista has filed his CoC for vice-governor of Davao Occidental just minutes ahead of his younger brother Claude.
Their sister Lorna Bautista Bandigan has filed her CoC for the lone congressional district in Davao Occidental on Monday along with his brother incumbent Malita Mayor Joseph Bautista who is now running for vice-mayor of Malita town.
With one more day to go, nobody from other parties has filed their intentions to challenge any of the Bautista clan running for different positions in the May 2016 elections of Davao Occidental.
