THE Misamis Oriental Schools Division yesterday suspended classes in Lagonglong, Balingasag and Opol towns due to the bad weather and threats of floodings.

Cherry Mae Limbaco, schools division superintendent, said the suspension of classes also applied to private schools in these towns because of the heavy downpour and threats of landslides.

The capitol tasked the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office to monitor the situation and prepare for rescue and relief operations as it said it expected bad weather until Saturday. (lito rulona)
