ILIGAN City — The massive operations of the Police and the Drug Enforcement Agency 10 Iligan-Lanao Special Enforcement Team resulted in the successive arrests of suspected drug personalities here.
Police Station 5 Commander Chief Insp. Jasper Ian Uy reported that at about 5:00 pm on March 14, the Anti Drug Enforcement of said Station led by PO3 Ryan Alcansas conducted a covert operation against illegal drugs at Purok 6 in Saray, this city, saw a person acting edgy and when they approached the suspect threw one small size sachet containing white substance believed to be shabu.
The suspect reportedly attempted to run but he was caught by PO3 Rodolfo Suico, Jr.
The suspect was later identified to be Aldrin Mallao, 23 years old, married and a resident of GK Missionvillie, Canaway, this city.
On the same day, Police reported that at about 8:30 pm, joint elements of the City Intelligence Branch (CIB), led by Senior Insp. Ferdinand Destua, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) led by Insp. Joshua B. Mateo, City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by Insp. Pantaran. and Station 5 Anti-Drug Enforcement Team led by Chief Insp. Jasper Ian E. Pasco arrested Vicente Salvador a.k.a “Eton” in a buy-bust operation at barangay Palao, this city.
The police report states that one small heat-sealed sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu was bought from the suspect.
Subsequently confiscated from the possession of the Salvador were three small heat-sealed plastic sachets, six medium heat sealed plastic sachets, three medium unsealed plastic sachet, all containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu; three disposable lighters, four rolled aluminum foil, one folded aluminum foil, two straws, one pair of long-nosed pliers, one pair of scissors, and piece brown pouch.
Actual inventory of the items was conducted by PO1 Alfie Chang in the presence of Palao Tanod Warlito S. Nicolas.
Police also reported that at about 11:00 pm, on the same day, the same joint operatives arrested Jerry Cogo, 32, of Purok 9, Barangay del Carmen, this city, at Purok 6, Barangay Saray for possession of one plastic sachet of suspected shabu.
The arrested suspects were detained while appropriate charges are being readied.
