BUKIDNON — The Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI CIDSS)- National Community Driven Development Program (NCDDP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), established partnership with Kapisanan ng mga Broadcaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) and Philippine Information Agency (PIA) to continue the corroboration on the pro-gram’s impact to poor identified communities in Northern Mindanao.
Through the various public advocacy initiatives like radio plugs or radio programs, the partner agencies are expected to streng-then the campaign of KC-NCDDP to empower communities where the poorest barangays are given access to and control of key development decisions and resources through community mobilization techniques.
With an enforced KC-NCDDP implementation and advocacy, poverty reduction will be within reach since the funding of baran-gay projects (public goods, community enterprise, and human resource development) will now be used to improve access to basic services and increases productivity.
Targeting 19, 647 Barangays in 58 Provinces of 14 Regions with 5.4 million households.
To date, KC-NCDDP will be implemented in 44 additional municipalities in Northern Mindanao which comprised Bukidnon-14, Lanao del Norte -6, Misa-mis Occidental-4 and Misa-mis Oriental-19.(PIA10)
