Department of Trade and Industry – Region 10 received a bronze award from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) during the nationwide Public Sector HR Symposium held at SMX Center, Davao City on 20 July 2018.

CSC Resolution 1701670 dated 28 December 2018 indicated that DTI-10 has met the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management or the “(PRIME-HRM) Level 2 – Maturity Indicators in the Systems, Practices and Competencies of the four (4) core HRM systems, namely, (a) Recruitment, Selection and Placement, (b) Performance Management, (c) Learning and Development, and (d) Rewards and Recognition”.

DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez says in his message to DTI-10 dated 16 April 2018,  that its “PRIME-HRM Bronze Award is a breakthrough achievement that manifests [the department’s] excellence in delivering output to the highest quality standards and reflects its continuous effort to level-up the Human Resource strategy.”

In CSC’s document, DTI-10, being a PRIME-HRM Bronze Awardee, shall (1) “maintain the status under Level 2 and continue to improve on its HRM systems to meet the indicators of the next higher level”; (2) “comply with the 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and other Human Resource Actions and other Civil Service Law and rules in the issuance of appointments and implementation of other HR actions; and (3) “partner with CSC in providing assistance to other agencies in the development or improvement of HRM systems”.
