Department of Trade and Industry in Bukidnon has conducted Consumer Welfare Month activities this year.

As part of the celebration, DTI-Bukidnon even geared at empowering consumers. This year’s theme is “Making Digital Marketplaces Fairer.”

One of the major activities include the CWM Quiz Bowl which was held at the Loiza’s Pavilion in Malaybalay City.

The event was attended by representatives or contestants from 36 different high schools.

Gloribeth Janubas, a student from Kinawe National High School located in Libona Bukidnon emerged as the First Prize Winner. Second Prize went to Kairan Shem F. Resurreccion of Valencia City National High School and the Third Price was won by Ms. Gwen R. Dahe of Sumilao National High School.

Janubas and Resurreccion went on to become finalists at the Regional CWM Quiz Bee, the major event is the Dulaang Pangmamimili.

This is the second year for Bukidnon to conduct the drama contest recorded on video. A total of 8 entries for Dulaan were submitted by different groups of high school students from different schools.

An actual performance from the first 3 groups was conducted on October 25, 2018 which the judging was based.

The entry from students of Dangcagan National High School bagged the First Prize, while the Second and Third Prize went to Lantapan NHS and Kalilangan NHS,

This is the second time for the entry from Kalilangan NHS to win the major prize. Last year they won the First Prize for the same contest. (PR)
