Supply chain is the sequence of processes involved in the production and distribution of a commodity (products/goods and services). The priority classified in doing business is “customer satisfaction”; profit only comes next. Customers look for best quality products with low cost.

Supply chain management is optimized when the supplier delivers what the customers demand products when they want it and when they can spend as little money as possible.

Curay discussed the steps to enable the MSMEs to attain customer satisfaction demand through the supply value chain; he also touched some topics on Planning, Supply Chain Management, Inventory, Raw Materials Sourcing, Purchasing & Procurement, Production/Processing, Delivery and Market.

A workshop on actual processing and management decision-making in a business was also conducted.  After the lecture, a case-to-case coaching and mentoring followed.  Some concerns brought up were on waste minimization during production.  One of the recommendations was to use scrap materials for smaller items or giveaways and for associations, the mentor advised that profit is not bad, it can be actually used for expansion and providing work for more people; most mentees recommended that an inventory strategy should be done to increase efficiency and decrease waste. All of the participants expressed their gratefulness for the learnings they acquired and acknowledged that the module will help them enhance their management skills and improve their businesses. pr
