The emcee, Annette P. Villaces, is this city’s information officer and niece of City Mayor Ernesto Matugas. Duterte was in town on Sunday to lead the ceremonial distribution of relief assistance to the earthquake survivors.

Duterte at the middle of his speech looked at Villaces with a smile and asked the name of the emcee. He commented how beautiful she was and if jobless, would it be okay to bring her to Manila to be his private secretary in Malacañang. The public flirting drew laughter from the crowd.

Not contented, after the program Duterte followed by his presidential security escorts went to Villaces and asked if Villaces is already married, who her husband was, and reiterated his invitation for her to work the palace.

Villaces posted in her Facebook account: “I was surprise as in gulat na gulat! Yung feeling na in the middle ng speech ni Pres-D isingit yung part na nakipag usap sakin at tanongin ako if i am jobless? Payag bang sasama sa Manila to be his secretary? kaloka! Gandang di inakala as in di ko po alam pano mag react haha yung feeling na yung tumingin sayo lahat???”
