Earlier, the Guingona administration expressed that it wanted the management and control of the public hospital be transfered to the city government.

City councilor Mike Paderanga confirmed the local government’s interest in running the hospital.

For his part, Emano responded that he is open for discussion on the future of provincial hospital.

Emano added he has instructed Talisayan town mayor Rommel Maslog, as chairman of Gingoog Bay Alliance, to schedule a meeting with all the mayors of the bay area to discuss the feasibility of turning over control of the hospital to the city government of Gingoog.

Paderanga said the city government has the capacity to manage the hospital.

He added the city government even has enough funds to operate the hospital at the soonest time possible.
