ILIGAN City — The Energy Sector led by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) made a joint relief assistance activity for the employees of Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperative (Lasureco) and relatives now temporarily settled in the homes of relatives and evacuation centers in Cagayan de Oro and this city.

In a statement made during the ceremonial turn-over of the relief assistance, NEA Administrator, Edgardo R. Masongsong, said the activity was organized to make an orderly and concerted effort among organizations to help their colleagues in the energy sector, the employees of Lasureco who were badly affected by the Marawi crisis.

He said energy firms like NGCP, GN Power, and almost all the electric cooperatives and their employees throughout the country contributed to help in the endeavor.

The Association of Mindanao Rural Electric Cooperatives (Amreco), through its president Sergio C. Dagooc turned over to Lasureco Acting General Manager Dr. Nordjana Dipatuan-Ducol a check in the amount of P200 thousand.

The other donations consisted of goods and undetermined amount of cash from employees and stakeholders of the electric cooperative sectors throughout the country, as witnessed by reporters.
