The victim’s neck was slit inside a cemetery in Barangay Malatab, Antipas, North Cotabato around 7:20 in the morning.

According to the victim’s wife; Bambi, she overheard her husband talking to someone on the phone, until they decided to meet at the cemetery. When they arrived at the meet-up area aboard their single motorcycle, they were immediately approached by two men who pushed her off the motorcycle causing her to fall to the ground.

She narrated how the two men slit his husband’s throat using a knife and left after taking her husband’s wallet and mobile phone.

The police are leaning towards personal grudge as the cause of the crime but are not discounting other possibilities in their investigation.
