FDC Misamis Power Corporation (FDC Misamis) in PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental marked its 2nd anniversary last Friday, September 21, 2018 with Customers’ Appreciation Night as the highlight.
FDC Misamis, a subsidiary of FDC Utilities, Inc., (FDCUI) and a member of the Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC), is the Independent Power Producer (IPP) of Mindanao’s biggest base load plant.
Inaugurated by President Rodrigo Duterte back in 2016, the coal thermal power plant has a total capacity of 405 MW and employs the circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler technology, which is considered as the cleanest process in burning coal and provides higher plant reliability.
After two (2) years of successful commercial operations, the power firm recognized its industry partners.
Among the top partners feted were Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative (DASURECO), Surigao del Norte Electric Cooperative (SURNECO), Misamis Oriental 1 Rural Electric Services Cooperative (MORESCO 1), Davao del Norte Electric Cooperative (DANECO), Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative (ANECO) and Apex Mining Company, Inc.
“We’re happy to see all our partners and be part of the development here in Mindanao,” said FDCUI Chairman of the Board Jonathan T. Gotianun.
“Everything we do is always directed to the progress of the country, Mindanao in particular,” added Gotianun.
“Building a power plant, putting everything in order and training the people, forms part of our greatest achievement here in Mindanao,” Gotianun underscored further.
Juan Eugenio L. Roxas, the firm’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), lauded all 17 customer-partners of FDC Misamis for their continued trust and confidence to the company. (PR)
