February is PhilHealth Day.
Councilor Maria Lour-des Gaane and members of the City Council committee on health and sanitation and health insurance, supported the declaration of Feb. 14 as PhilHealth Day.
During its meeting, Marlon Arrabaca of Philhealth Regional Office 10 said every February of the year PhilHealth celebrates National Health Insurance month.
He said activities will run the whole month of February.
According to Arrabaca, they planted trees in Taytay, El Salvador and in Cala-Cala area.
For his part, Lawyer Ian Alfredo Magno of PhilHealth Region 10 expressed his gratitude to the legislators for bringing up the resolution.
He said PhilHealth will come up with activities, which will involve the city government.
Magno said they plan to plant 22,000 trees, which represents the 22nd year anniversary of PhilHealth.
The activity bears the theme “PhilHealth Go Green.” (sp)
