GINGOOG CITY, Misamis Oriental — The provincial government of Misamis Oriental has turned over various jail facilities to the Gingoog City Jail, Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano said.

Emano said that new jail facilities consisted of 30 units of triple decks, 12 units of double decks, two units long tables, one visitor’s deposit locker , book shelves, garbage stands, desk officer table and chair, floor tiles for the jail chapel and a kitchen sink for the administration building.

He said that the repairs would also be undertaken with existing decks, replacements of bowls and repair of the Cell Foxtrot wall.

“We want a conducive, comfortable and secured shelter for the inmates,” Emano told the jail personnel during the blessing and the turnover ceremony Wednesday.

Two weeks ago, Emano also turned over the new administration building of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail and Rehabilitation Center in Cagayan De Oro City. Gingoog City, is a second class component city of Misamis Oriental, with about 125,000 people, 100 kilometers east of Cagayan De Oro City, the capital city of Misamis Oriental. (pio misor)
