GINGOOG City – Some 13 houses were destroyed and five others were damaged in a morning fire in Barangay 18-A, this city, on Sunday.

SFO3 Elias Taneo  of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Gingoog said  an estimated to 29 families were displaced as a result of the fire that broke out at around 8 am.

Taneo said about 10 houses on Lugod Street were already being razed to the ground when the first group of fire fighters arrived at the scene. He said authorities were informed of the fire at around 8:13 am.

It took fire fighters about 40 minutes to declare a “fire-out,” he said.

There were no casualty reports.
